Dr. Staci M. Suggs

A Jacksonville, Florida native, Dr. Suggs received the Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Pittsburgh before earning the Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Maryland.  In addition, Dr. Suggs obtained the Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry at Howard University.  Dr. Suggs' love for children inspired her to specialize in Pediatric Dentistry at Howard University College of Dentistry.  Dr. Suggs follows the "Total Patient" concept which includes focusing not only on dental health but also the total health and development of children.  Dr. Suggs is married & has one child.


Dr. Tanya Wall Nunn, DDS

Originally from North Carolina, Dr. Wall earned the Bachelor of Science Degree from North Carolina A & T State University.  She then also chose to pursue her dental education at Howard University where she received both a Doctorate in Dental Surgery Degree as well as a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry.  Dr. Wall Nunn's commitment to excellence is illustrated in her work ethic and dedication to her patients and the community.  Dr. Wall is married & has one child.

Dr. Jila Mahajan

It is our pleasure to announce that Dr. Jila Mahajan joined Pediatric Smiles, Inc. on April 19, 2010 in the position of Pediatric Dental Associate.

Dr. Mahajan, a native of England, received her Bachelor of Science degree from George Washington University. She then went on to earn a Doctor of Dental Science degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City. She completed her residency and certification in Pediatric Dentistry from the Medical College of Virginia. Her advanced training included medically compromised children, oral and IV sedation, general anesthesia, and interceptive orthodontics.  After graduation, Dr. Mahajan became an associate professor at the Medical College of Virginia, entering private practice in 2001. Dr Mahajan is committed to providing quality gentle dentistry for children of all ages.  Dr Mahajan is widowed and has two children.

 

Useful Information

Our office, as well as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, recommends that your child visit the dentist by his/her 1st birthday.
It is best if you refrain from using words around your child that might cause unnecessary fear, such as "needle", "shot", or "hurt".
